33 Meeting Professionals Graduate with Event Management Certificates


The participants of the Global Certificate in Meetings and Business Events II
(GCMBE II) graduate from 5 day workshop

 

Doha, Qatar - (17 December 2009) A memorable day for the participants who attended the Global Certificate in Meetings and Business Events II (GCMBE Level II) who have graduated successfully and have been awarded the internationally recognized MPI certificate for event professionals.

 

The participants included a mix of past GCMBE I graduates and more experienced meeting industry professionals. The course is the first international program of its kind and comprised a mixture of theoretical lecturing and practical exercises, with written exams throughout the course.

 

Qatar MICE Development Institute (QMDI) together with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) partnered 2 years prior to develop and deliver a series of event training courses: 'Global Certificate in Meetings and Business Events' to event professionals in Qatar to meet the raising demand for event organizing skills. The QMDI / MPI partnership has created a platform for event professionals to gain valuable industry skills and receive their internationally recognized qualification.

 

Lieschke Steven-Jennings, Project Manager - Training, QMDI said: "I would like to congratulate all the graduates and I am proud to welcome them as event professionals. I am sure that they will use their new expertise to contribute to the industry and make a significant contribution to this important sector. We look forward to running more educational programs with our partners, MPI, in the near future."

Future GCMBE programs have been planned to run in the following year. GCMBE II will be taking place from 14th - 18th February 2010 (venue: W Hotel) and GCMBE III (Level III) from 21st - 25th February 2010 (venue: W Hotel).

 

MPI have provided the meeting and events community with premier training and development programs for 35 years which makes them the world's leading body with over 24,000 members. The course is developed as part of their global training which aims to train meeting and event professionals at every level of their career, from the basics of meeting operations and logistics up to the executive leadership level.
